I joined St. James’s Place in January 1996 as a member of the Westerham management team. My responsibilities included recruitment of new Partners into the St. James's Place Partnership, ongoing training and development of Partners, and consideration of the relevant compliance and regulatory requirements. I helped Westerham become one of the top locations in the company and I was promoted to Deputy Head of Location.
Previously I had worked as an adviser with NM Schroders, and as a manager with Norwich Union, where I ran the local office, and Allied Dunbar in London. When I first left school I worked for Barclays Bank Plc in the City of London.
I was an active member of the Life Insurance Association, now the Personal Finance Society, and grew through the ranks to become Zone Officer for London and the South East, and I was asked to be considered as a Director.
In late 2007 I decided to become an adviser again and a Partner I had recruited in 1996, Roger Hart, was planning on retiring in early 2008, and so I was delighted to take over the responsibility of his clients. Separate to St. James's Place, I also set up a chapter for Business Networking International (BNI) in 2008, and we meet every Friday morning at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, in Kent. I also receive many introductions from happy clients to family, friends, and work colleagues, for which I am very grateful.
I am thoroughly enjoying my time as a Senior Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management, and look forward to helping my clients for many years.
